- Associate Veterinarian
Description
At Cherokee Animal Hospital, we believe excellent veterinary medicine begins with trust: clients who feel heard, patients who receive thoughtful care, and a team that genuinely supports one another.
We are seeking a veterinarian who combines strong medical and surgical skills with an ability to build lasting client relationships. The right doctor will value collaboration, clear communication, professional growth, and the opportunity to help shape the future of an independently owned practice. For a veterinarian who becomes a strong long-term fit and shares our vision, there may also be an opportunity to explore a future path to practice ownership.
Practice Medicine the Way It Should Be Practiced
We work hard to create an environment where veterinarians can practice high-quality medicine without feeling isolated or chronically overwhelmed. We tend to staff generously so our doctors have capable support, and our management team continually improves systems and workflows to reduce unnecessary frustrations.
Our doctors collaborate, discuss cases, and support one another. As an incoming veterinarian, you will join an established medical team rather than being expected to handle everything alone.
We also welcome doctors who want a meaningful voice in their work environment, an opportunity to develop a clinical interest, or the potential to grow into a leadership or ownership role over time.
An Independent Hospital with Invested Owners
Cherokee Animal Hospital is proudly independent and privately owned. Our team of 2 owners remains present, engaged, and deeply invested in the hospital, its patients, and the people who work here.
Our culture is intentional. We value professionalism, kindness, accountability, open communication, and a healthy sense of humor. We are clean, organized, and committed to maintaining a respectful, low-drama workplace. Veterinary medicine is demanding, but coming to work should still be enjoyable.
We also believe a successful veterinary career should leave room for a life outside the hospital. Our goal is to provide the support, teamwork, and structure that make a sustainable work-life balance possible.
Our Community and Clients
Cherokee Animal Hospital is located in Canton, Georgia, a growing community just north of Atlanta. Canton offers a welcoming, small-town atmosphere while remaining close to the dining, entertainment, cultural, and recreational opportunities of the Atlanta area.
We have built a loyal client base by combining high-quality medicine with a practical, compassionate approach and a strong focus on customer service. Our clients generally appreciate our recommendations, trust our team, and are grateful for the care we provide. Their support has led to Cherokee Animal Hospital being selected as Best in Canton or Best in Cherokee every year for the last 10 years!
We are especially interested in a veterinarian who enjoys getting to know clients, explaining medical recommendations clearly, and developing the trust that leads to better care and long-term relationships.
