West Park Animal Hospital is one of them.

We are a veterinarian-owned, locally led primary care practice built around a straightforward idea: when veterinarians have the time to think, the autonomy to make decisions, and clients who value comprehensive care, they do better medicine.

We built West Park for doctors who want to take that approach seriously.

The Medicine

This is a practice for veterinarians who enjoy thinking - medically and surgically.

Our longer appointments give doctors time to perform meaningful workups, discuss options with clients, and follow cases through rather than simply moving on to the next appointment.

Our doctors are encouraged to manage challenging medical cases and perform surgery appropriate to primary care, with capable technical support and clients who are receptive to comprehensive treatment recommendations.

We believe high-quality primary care means:

The schedule is designed accordingly:

• Predictable weekday schedule
• Maximum four-day workweek
• No weekends
• No on-call

We are also looking for someone who sees a future in clinical leadership. Requirements

This position is best suited to a mid-career veterinarian who has developed clinical confidence and now wants the environment to practice at a higher level.

You should:

• Hold a DVM or VMD and be licensed in Florida, or be eligible for Florida licensure
• Have approximately 3–5+ years of clinical experience, or equivalent training
• Be comfortable managing medical cases independently
• Be comfortable performing routine through moderately complex surgery
• Communicate clearly and confidently with clients
• Enjoy working through challenging cases rather than avoiding them
• Take pride in well-reasoned treatment plans and good surgical outcomes
• Want a sustainable career without lowering your standards
• We are less interested in years on a résumé than in how you think, how you practice, and the standards you hold yourself to.
